Ryan Gaynor was born and raised in Santa Monica, CA. Ryan holds a BS in Business Management from Loyola Marymount University (2008) and loves math: he has always been very passionate about learning it and teaching it. Ryan has been tutoring for a decade and solely focuses on basic math, pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II, making him an expert at these core math subjects. He loves working with kids and helping them understand that math is very useful and not as hard as one would think. Almost every student Ryan has had for the past several years has reported that he explains things in a clear and linear way. Ryan also teaches his students valuable test-taking strategies, which can be applied to several test formats and even across subjects. During the first few sessions, Ryan usually has his students write down all the Math life-saving tips and asks them to keep them handy, so they can constantly read up on it. Ryan’s motto has always been that learning should be fun, and it shows in his lessons. But most importantly, Ryan has a very calming presence and a great deal of patience, which routinely gets noticed by parents of kids who tend to be “scattered”.
