I have an insatiable appetite for curiosity and laughter. Working with youth, and those who adore youth, keeps me greedily munching. I love the craft of making challenging information accessible and fun. I love being constantly proven that there are so many right ways to do things. I love being forced to constantly self-reflect. And, I love that teaching allows you to never stop living thematically! I come from school blood: my great-grandma taught in a one-room schoolhouse, my grandfather started a “hippie” school in Virginia, my dad was the scariest teacher at my high school and my mama drives a school bus. I hold teaching credentials in both English and Health, but I have an enormous respect for all subjects and incorporate them into curriculum. I listen and learn from my students. And, I believe that freedom and organization are an awesome team.
