WEEK 1

Mon 3/26
We will kick off Spring Break Camp creating super springtime-y 3D Still Lifes. These amazing art pieces will take shape over the course of the next few days using all sorts of mixed media. Then, things could get a little messy as we take the canvases outside for Squirt Gun Painting (as always, please send your little artist to camp in his/her “best” painting clothes)! After lunch, campers will get their wiggles out at the park with an always riotous game of Beat the Bunny!

Tue 3/27
We will add another level to our 3D Spring Still Lifes by making our very own Collage Paper . We will also create beautiful Bubble Wrap Prints (It’s exactly what you think it is, and it’s amazing). Campers will then display their floral skills creating bountiful bouquets of Paper Hyacinths. Homemade Stress Balls will be the super-fun, super-squishy final project of the day.

Wed 3/28
Today, campers will make paper flowers for their 3D Spring Still Lifes, as well as put on any finishing touches. We’ll continue in the springtime spirit by crafting adorable Pom Pom Bunnies and Chicks. In the afternoon, kiddos will get outside and make enormously Giant Bubbles at the park!

Thu 3/29
Easter is only three days away, so we need to get our egg game on! We will start the day creating super cool Shaving Cream Swirled Easter Eggs – because who doesn’t love playing with shaving cream AND making Easter eggs?? We’ll continue the colorful creativity making vibrant, watercolor Rainy Day Collages. Lastly, campers will take the artsy fartsy fun outside with Bubble Painting (that’s right – painting with bubbles!).

Fri 3/30
Who doesn’t love a donut in the morning?? For our first project of the day, campers will sew adorable Felt Donuts that will look good enough to eat. Next, we’ll take the fun outside with Exploding Easter Egg Rockets. Finally, forget pastel – we’re going to put a cosmically cool spin on Easter eggs… think dark, star dusted, colorful nebula…with Galaxy Eggs!

WEEK 2

Mon 4/2
We will start off this spectacular second week constructing Treehouse Sculptures. Campers will get to work on these architectural treasures over the next two days using a variety of artistic elements. Next, we will paint the backgrounds of our soon-to-be Cardboard Critters and Paper Plate Dragons. A super silly game of Hide-the-Carrot will round out the afternoon

Tue 4/3
Campers will get to continue working on their Treehouse Sculptures, painting and making all the neat little details to add later on – because a treehouse needs a roof, doors, and of course, a ladder! Need some moss for the base or leaves for the roof? We’ll have all that and more to create the miniature treehouse of your dreams! After all that detailed creativity, campers will get outside for some foamy fun with their own Bubble Snake Makers.

Wed 4/4
Today we will put the finishing touches on our rustically wondrous Treehouses. And remember those Cardboard Critters we started on Monday? Well it’s time to sew them together and add any creepy-crawly details. Finally, just because Easter is technically over doesn’t mean it’s over for us…because campers are going to get outdoors for an egg-citing Easter Egg Relay

Thu 4/5
Today, campers will savor the springtime spirit (say that 5 times fast) sewing ultra-cute felt bunnies. We will also be constructing Castle Towers to accompany our Paper Plate Dragons we worked on earlier this week. And who doesn’t love a good bouncy ball? Campers will realize their own toy-making skills by making their own rubbery Bouncy Balls

Fri 4/6
For our final day of spring break camp, Paintbrush People are taking over! Using paint, googly eyes, found objects and other media, each camper will create their very own paintbrush person that’s as awesome, hilarious and ridiculously unique as they are. Lastly, we will get those last little spring break wiggles out and wrap up the day – and possibly ourselves – with a Toilet Paper Obstacle Maze!

What is REALM Camp?

Escondido Falls, Malibu

While REALM Camp has become famous for our zany adventures, amazing art projects and our extraordinary, loving counselors, it’s more than that…

The REALM Camps are about doing the things you love while trying things that you have never done before. It’s about the joy of learning something new about yourself, or discovering a hidden talent or passion. It’s about stepping “outside the box,” feeling inspired and inspiring others. It’s about creating, learning, reflecting and sharing. It’s about exploring our world like a playground with a careful eye and open heart. It’s about unfiltered fun, contagious laughter and delight of exhaustion after a full day of adventure!

There are a zillion camps out there. What differentiates the REALM Camps from all others?

Our Philosophy

First and foremost, we want campers to have a ridiculously fun time. In addition, we also feel that we have a unique opportunity to help kids step out of their ordinary routine and jump into possibility, try something new and Seize their Greatness!!

Our Style

We love and nurture kids. We escort them towards success. We honor their strengths and support them through challenge. We invite them to take risks. We encourage them towards choices that work for both themselves and others. We honor, invite and look forward to each and every teachable moment.

Unique to REALM Camps

– The combination of artistic, academic & social education offered in combination and with equal importance
– Educators trained to teach in a style that encourages creativity and honors students unique strengths, passions and learning preferences
– Our ability to create distinctive opportunities that are designed to prepare students to thrive in an ever changing and constantly progressing world
– A constant consideration of everyone’s unique learning needs and a commitment towards getting those needs met!
– An unwavering commitment to the growth, joy and connection to every single camper at The REALM!

Our Activities

While many camps specialize heavily in one area such as arts, music, sports, etc., at The REALM Camps, we provide a wide variety of experiences and activities that will allow kids to freely work their creative muscles! Throughout our camp days, kids at The REALM are experiencing learning through doing, creating, collaborating and playing. Kids will start each day with some open play time followed by The Morning HUB! (High Fives & Hugs, Uh-nouncments, Breakdown).

Next stop: 3+ hours of fun! Kids will rotate through 2-3 activities that range from creative art projects and experiences relevant to the days theme to classes in science, music, puppetry, botany, yoga, theater, martial arts and more!

Lunch can happen at the center or on the go. Campers should pack a healthy lunch and drink.

Our Staff

Our staff is like none other. It’s one thing to have a great mission and program of events, but all that is only a vision without awesome implementation. Our staff is dedicated. Our staff is creative and smart. Our staff is super experienced. Our staff feels like family. They will love your children unconditionally and believe in them relentlessly. From drop off to pick up, teachers are together with the kids to connect throughout the day!
